We’re thrilled to announce that on July 30, 2025, our beloved English Labrador parents—Goose (sire) and Peewee (dam)—welcomed nine beautiful, healthy puppies: 4 black, 4 yellow, and 1 chocolate.

Ambassador Labradors is a family‑owned and operated kennel nestled on 40 acres in Camden, South Carolina, raising top quality AKC English Labradors since 2010. Under veterinary-guided care from conception through regular two‑week checkups, our focus is on producing healthy, well-socialized pups with excellence in temperament and structure. Puppies are socialized with people and other adult dogs, and begin potty training using a doggy door early on.

About the English Labrador Breed

English Labradors—often referred to as show-line or bench-bred Labs—are cherished for their solid, blocky build, kind expressive eyes, and friendly, stable temperament. These dogs typically weigh around 55–70 lbs, have stockier frames and broader heads, and boast short, dense, water-resistant double coats in black, yellow (from pale cream to fox red), or chocolate.

Developed in the UK from St. John’s water dogs in the 1800s, English Labradors remain popular today as intelligent, loyal, gentle companions—excelling as family pets, therapy dogs, and sporting partners.

Why People Fall in Love with English Labradors

  • Gentle with people of all ages—known for their patient, even-tempered nature.
  • Highly trainable and eager to please, making them ideal for obedience, therapy work, or service roles.
  • Low-maintenance in grooming and easy to care for—just regular brushing and routine vet visits.
  • Adaptable energy levels—enjoy a good walk or game of fetch, but also content to relax and cuddle at home.

What to Expect as an English Lab Owner

Owners can look forward to a life filled with loyalty and companionship. These pups thrive on mental stimulation and consistent training, especially in puppyhood. They respond well to positive reinforcement, and early crate and potty training lays a great foundation. As active dogs, they need daily exercise—but moderate walks and play sessions generally suffice. Expect minimal shedding, robust health when responsibly bred, and a dog that truly becomes a central part of your family life.
